About SEAC
The South East Area Coalition, Inc. (SEAC) is western New York's oldest Neighborhood Preservation Company; 2009 marked our 40th anniversary. SEAC (pronounced "seek") is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation that works to insure that our neighborhoods are the best places to live, work, play and learn in Rochester. SEAC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and staffed by two full-time and one part-time professionals, and by a multitude of volunteers. It is privately funded through membership revenues, independent foundations, and governmental agencies through administration dollars attached to programs that we administer on behalf of the city and state.
Community
We strive to keep everyone connected through our programs, through our Newsletter and Blog. We meet the needs of those we serve by working to increase civic engagement and build community at all levels. SEAC is in constant communication with our neighborhood and business leaders, listening to their concerns and helping to increase dialogue thereby facilitating citizen initiatives.
