Housing Grant Information
SEAC offers several types of home repair grants for low- to moderate-income homeowners who live in the City of Rochester and are in need of emergency housing repairs.
SEAC also can help facilitate matching grant funds with other Neighborhood Preservation Companies. These grants are based on income eligibility. Currently, the income requirements are:

Listed below are the SEAC Grant Guidelines. All of the REPAIRS grants offered through the SEAC office are mandated by the following protocols;
- All property addresses must be reflected on a current driver’s license.
- All county and city taxes must be paid to date.
- The property owner must have homeowner’s insurance.
- SEAC has to have a copy of the property Deed-with homeowners name on the property deed.
- All sources of income must be documented.
- All city code property violation/s must be documented.
- Homeowners are responsible for providing copies of all documentation required.
- Only certain repairs can be made as dictated by the type of grant received.
- All homeowners are expected to be respectful and patient with all SEAC employees.
If you meet the income requirements, have owned your home for a minimum of two years, and agree to the Grant Guidelines, the first step is to fill out the SEAC Housing Grant application form which can be obtained from the SEAC office. SEAC currently is not accepting Housing Grant applications. Please check back at a later date.
Once the application is complete, attach all pertinent paperwork then bring or mail the application to our office at 1000 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620-3098.
