Mt. Hope Avenue

Our service area on Mt. Hope runs from Linden Street south to the City line. It encompasses a variety of business, residential areas, and Highland Park, an historic Frederick Law Olmstead designed park. Mt. Hope Cemetery sits at the corner of Mt. Hope Avenue and Elmwood Avenues. This is the final resting place for American civil rights leader and suffragette Susan B. Anthony and activist and orator Frederick Douglass.

Mt. Hope Avenue is known as College Town because it is home to the University of Rochester Medical Center and is a short distance from the University of Rochester River campus.
