Street Manager

A Street Manager is a person dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents and helping to boost business opportunities.

Joan Hildebrand is our Street Manager for Monroe and South Clinton Avenues. She is working with the City of Rochester, Monroe Village Task Force and the Monroe Village Merchants Association to craft opportunities for new businesses on Monroe Avenue creating a walkable residential zone and generating positive initiatives for Monroe Village.

South Clinton Avenue began being revitalized in 2010 with new streetscape. Curb bump outs and new crosswalks were installed; new benches and planters will also be situated along the avenue. Joan is working with the SEAC staff, the SCMA (South Clinton Merchants Association) and the ESCAPE (Evolving South Clinton Avenue Places and Environment) committee. Joan will continue her outreach to established and new businesses.
